The type of bubble wrap i'm talking about is the original Sealed wrap. its made of two layers of polyethylene with a special "Air Seal" between them.

Any ideas on special properties (light? flame retardent? insulator?) that either bubble wrap or polyethylene have would really help. Serious answers only please, and only answer if you are sure!
